The Bread Art Project is sponsored by the Grain Foods Foundation in support of the charity Feeding America.
The Purpose of the Bread Art Project
The Bread Art Project was created by the Grain Foods Foundation to help increase awareness of the growing hunger problem in our country. Last year, our visitors created more than 50,000 pieces of Bread Art for our galleries and helped to raise more than $50,000 for Share Our Strength®, a national nonprofit committed to ending childhood hunger in America by connecting children with the nutritious food they need to lead healthy, active lives.
The Bread Art Project Website
The Bread Art Project is a digital art museum where you can create Bread Art or animations to be displayed in the digital galleries. The Bread Art Project is also a great place to learn about the health benefits of bread and other grain food products.
The Grain Foods Foundation
The Grain Foods Foundation is dedicated to advancing the public’s understanding of the important role grain-based foods play in the human diet.
The Grain Foods Foundation will donate $50,000 to Share Our Strength and will make an additional $1 donation for every piece of Bread Art submitted and approved, 4/1/11 through 6/30/2011. Up to a maximum total donation of $100,000. Funds raised through The Bread Art Project will support the No Kid Hungry® Campaign, Share Our Strength’s national effort to end childhood hunger in America by 2015.
